A little bit about us...
Stone Landscape Architecture, PLLC has been around for many years, in a manner of speaking. Owner, Drew Langston had a soft spot for all things landscape even as a child. As a child, Drew would play in the dirt for hours with his Tonka trucks, constructing cities, roads, and full on cities! This love of building eventually led to his first job working with a local landscaper, learning the trade, and developing a knowledge and appreciation of the careful planning that preceded each installation.
Towards the end of high school his thoughts turned to the future and a career. After a visit to a local college (exploring the possibility of forestry as a career), Drew learned about the profession of Landscape Architecture. His passion for design facilitated his decision to pursue his degree in Landscape Architecture. The rest, as they say, is history.
After graduating in 2006 from the SUNY-ESF Landscape Architecture program, Drew headed south to Miami, FL for a job at a small landscape architecture firm. A year later, he moved on to Raleigh, NC to a position at a larger firm who employed professionals in architecture, landscape architecture and interior design. In 2008, he decided to return closer to family in friends in Buffalo, NY where he began work with a large multi-disciplinary firm. This is where he really began to understand the complexities that make up the discipline. It is truly a combination of design expertise, technical knowledge and keen business sense that facilitate the success of a Landscape Architect.
In 2013, Drew's desire to have a more hands-on approach to design and construction brought him to A-1 Land Care inc. in Lewiston, NY. In his role, Drew helps manage some of the commercial work within A-1's portfolio, but his primary focus is on the residential side of the business. This includes meeting with clients, providing designs, and developing proposals. He manages and is personally involved in every residential project to ensure successful completion.
The creation of Stone Landscape Architecture, PLLC came out of Drew's desire to meet an increased demand for a more construction-focused design firm to work with clients to create unique outdoor spaces and transition easily into construction.
